ADULT: Wingspan 9 to 12mm.  A tidy littlle gem who has an attractive mix of bright orange, black and silvery-grey pattarening to the forewings. The wings are held in a roof-like way and curl slightly around the body. Slight tufts on the upper centre of the wings can be seen when the moth is at rest. LARVAE: The larvae can be found on a variety of Willowherbs where they mine the leaves. HABITAT: Found in relatively damp areas. FLIGHT PERIOD: On the wing during May to July and again in August and September. STATUS: Records of this species are well spread throughout the UK.
